Hi! I’m Chae, Naturopath, Educator, Speaker & founder of The Wellness Emporium – a place (both online and in clinic) that I have created to educate, inspire and empower others on their own health & wellness journey.
I am a strong believer in a holistic approach to health and empowering my patients to make informed choices. This means that I work with my patients to uncover the root cause to their health concerns (not just address symptoms). I understand that there is no one size fits all or no magic pill. Through in-depth consultations where I take a full health history, uncover emotional blocks, set goals and assess pathology, I am able to formulate a personalised wellness plan for my patients that is achievable, supportive and clear. I also work alongside other health care practitioners including doctors, specialists, psychologists and acupuncturist to provide the most comprehensive care for my patients’.
My passion for women’s health, skin issues and digestive concerns, stemmed from my own health journey and led me down the path in becoming a naturopath and opening my own wellness clinic.
So let me share with you a small part of my journey ….
Prior to my naturopathic studies, I worked as a teacher, which allowed me to travel the world. I worked extensively overseas and also in the education sector in Australia. However, I haven’t always been the bright & bubbly health advocate I am today. In my early childhood, I was in and out of hospital with gut issues and at the age of 10 I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. At the time of diagnosis my whole colon was inflamed and I was put on heavy medication, with talks of removing parts of my bowel.
In the years that followed, I faced several other health and emotional challenges adding to the list of diagnosis including post-traumatic stress disorder accompanied by anxiety and OCD, polycystic ovarian syndrome, endometriosis, cystic acne, hypothyroidism and the list goes on.
Spending much of my life in and out of hospitals, doctor surgeries and other allied health practices I understand what it feels like to have ill-health rule your life. I allowed it to rule my relationships, my social life, my work, my food choices and even the clothes I wore.
I have now taken back control of my health and I am passionate about helping others do the same. Join me on this journey and let me help you!
Alongside seeing clients 1 on 1 in my clinical practice, my mission is to empower, motivate and inspire large groups of people to live healthier and more positive lives. I work with others in both collaboration, as well as a guest speaker for events and retreats both international and nationally. I also run workshops for both health professionals and also corporate businesses. For more information, please contact us here.
