Hi, I’m Kia, a registered psychologist with a deep passion for working with people from all walks of life who have felt misunderstood, overlooked, or like they’ve spent a lifetime masking who they really are.
My practice is trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming, which means I take seriously both what has happened to you and how your brain is wired, and I gently bring those pieces together in the work we do. Whether you’re navigating the impacts of trauma, anxiety, or long-standing patterns that no longer feel supportive, our work centres on building safety, understanding, and self-trust.
I have a particular passion for working with autistic and ADHDers, especially women and AFAB people who received a late or missed diagnosis, or who are only now beginning to understand themselves through a neurodivergent lens.
So much can make sense when you finally have the right framework: the exhaustion, the anxiety, the sense of never quite fitting, the years of pushing through in ways that cost more than anyone around you realised. I also bring lived experience as a neurodivergent person to this work, which deeply informs how I show up in the therapy space.
Alongside this, I work extensively with individuals who have experienced, or experiencing, trauma and complex trauma, including those who may not identify as neurodivergent but resonate with feelings of overwhelm, anxiety, or disconnection.
Compassion Focused Therapy underpins all of my clinical work, and I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, somatic approaches, and Schema Therapy – always tailored to your individual needs. I also have specialist training in trauma-focused interventions, including the STAIR program for interpersonal skill building after complex trauma.
Whatever brings you here, my aim is to offer a space that feels genuinely safe, where we can do meaningful work at a pace that feels right for you.
