Supporting Families, Parenting, and Relationship Wellbeing
Parenting is one of the most demanding and rewarding things a person can do — and it’s also one of the areas where people most often benefit from professional support. Our psychology team supports parents navigating the emotional challenges of parenting, co-parenting, family conflict, and the impact of their own history on how they parent.
We also support couples working through communication difficulties, relationship breakdown, and the relational strain that often comes with raising a family.
Our Approach to Care
We don’t separate your mind from your body, your history from your present, or your nervous system from your symptoms. At The Wellness Emporium, holistic psychology means treating the whole person — not just the diagnosis.
Our psychologists integrate evidence-based modalities with an understanding of how lifestyle, relationships, hormones, and lived experience all shape your mental health. Because lasting change rarely comes from one angle alone.

Our psychologists draw from a wide range of evidence-based approaches (depending on their training and your individual needs), including:
- Trauma-Informed Interventions (working with the body, inner child work)

It is available through our psychology team for couples at any stage — from those experiencing early friction to those navigating serious ruptures.

What to Expect at Your First Psychology Appointment
During your initial appointment, your psychologist will take time to get to know you, your goals, and your concerns. Together, you’ll develop a plan to work towards.
Many people feel some anxiety before seeing a psychologist for the first time — that’s completely normal. Our team is here to make you feel comfortable and supported from the moment you arrive. Some people find it helpful to jot down a few notes beforehand — goals, concerns, or things you’ve been struggling with. Come as you are. We’ll take it from there.

Finding the Right Psychologist for You
Choosing a psychologist is a personal decision — and the therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of positive outcomes in therapy. It can help to consider:
- Therapeutic approach — does it align with what you’re looking for?
- Areas of experience — does the psychologist have experience with your concerns?
- Communication style — do you feel comfortable and heard?
- Accessibility — are telehealth options available if you need them?
