The Healing Benefits Of Flower Essences

    By Naturopath Chae | THE WELLNESS EMPORIUM | 0 comment | 16 February, 2017 | 0

Flower essences are a powerful yet gentle healing tool that acts on a vibrational level to change the vibrational frequencies within the body to achieve a more harmonised state. The healing benefits of flower essences have been used since ancient times for their ability to bring about emotional balances by resolving negative thought patterns. They are made from the flowering part of the plant, mixed with brandy (or apple cider vinegar) and pure water and are used by applying 7 drops under the tongue morning and night.

Each flower essence possesses vibrational energy, which corresponds to specific conditions or issues. The healing benefits of flower essences work by helping to re-correct emotional and spiritual imbalances and therefore the well being of the whole person.

    What is Vibrational Energy?

A bit of science – everything in the universe has vibrational energy, all of which vibrate at different frequencies. This can include the rocks on the ground, the trees, a pencil and of course our own body. Within our body we have different vibrational levels, each emotion one feels, creates a separate and unique vibration, which can ultimately be positive or negative, or more specifically produce high or low frequencies, and in turn affecting our physical being.

The Law of Attraction and Vibration

The law of vibration through quantum physics, goes hand in hand with the law of attraction in regards to attracting like for like. Changing your vibrational energy to a positive and higher state will in turn attract that of the like. You might often here people talk about “those people” where everything comes easy for them, however they never can get anything right for themselves.

Flower essences can give you the tools to help change negative thought patterns and energies to positive emotional states and in turn assist with attracting more positive outcomes in whatever areas of your life that needs shifting, which may include health, wealth, courage and happiness.

What are Flower Essences Used For?

Flower essences can help with many things including life purpose and direction, moving through blocks and self doubt, releasing old patterns, past wounds and trauma, restoring happiness, increasing clarity and focus, decreasing stress, worry, fear, irritability and anxiety, releasing shame, guilt and sabotage and building self esteem and self confidence.

An open mind is essential, as being restricted to the thought processes of “seeing is believing” only restricts you from further potential.

    The Types of Flower Essences

Australian Bush Flower Essences are as the name suggests derived from flowers native to Australia. They consist of 69 essences to address many negative emotional patterns such as anxiety, fear and sadness.

Bach Flower Remedies consist of 38 remedies directed at a particular characteristic. Edward Bach was born in 1886 and was a bacteriologist who studied the use of vaccinations. He soon left this well regarded profession and focused on the power of nature, creating the 38 remedies, as known today. Edward Bach identified a clear link between the emotional health of a person and their physical health. Throughout his research, he noticed that some people with the same disease would recover much more quickly then others depending on their emotional and mental state.

Why do we feel the need to apologise for taking ca Why do we feel the need to apologise for taking care of ourselves? 🤔

Too often, we’re quick to say "sorry" for things that don’t require an apology—like setting boundaries or putting our own needs first.

Saying "sorry" when you don’t need to can be a heavy weight on your mental health. 🧠 We often feel pressured to apologise for simply taking care of ourselves, but these small, constant apologies can chip away at our self-worth.

You don’t need to say sorry for:

Saying “no” to protect your emotional energy.
Having your own beliefs and opinions, even if they challenge the norm.
Taking time alone to recharge and maintain balance.
Telling the truth—it’s part of being authentic, not something to regret.
Prioritising what’s important to your mental wellbeing.
Not being perfect all the time—perfectionism can be a real drain on your mental health, and it’s not a realistic goal.

Your mental health matters. 💚 The way you treat yourself sets the tone for how others treat you. Start by respecting your needs, boundaries, and emotional space without feeling guilty. This is how you protect your peace and create an environment where you can thrive.
If you are anything like many of our clients that If you are anything like many of our clients that find traditional meditation tough (i.e. sitting or laying down and listening to music or guide) then don't worry - here are 3 of our go-to alternatives that might be easier and just as effective:

1️⃣ Legs up on the wall: This calming pose is a great way to reset your mind and body. It's perfect after a busy day or a long flight, helping with circulation, relaxation, and anxiety relief.

2️⃣ Watching a candle flame: Focusing on the gentle flicker of a candle flame helps quiet the mind and brings you into the present moment. It’s a simple yet powerful way to focus and ground yourself.

3️⃣ Walking without music: Take a walk, but leave the headphones behind. Tune into your senses—feel the earth beneath your feet, notice the colors, the sounds, the air. It’s a moving meditation that keeps you grounded and connected.

Meditation is all about finding what works for YOU. Try these out and see how they feel. 🌿

Where is your stress coming from? Stress can show Where is your stress coming from?

Stress can show up in many ways, and often, we don’t even realise how it's creeping into our lives. There are three main areas where stress tends to manifest: psychological, physical, and environmental. Understanding these can help us take control and reduce its impact on our wellbeing. 💡

1️⃣ Psychological Stress: This comes from the pressure we place on ourselves or situations we face—perfectionism, multitasking, constant busyness, self-criticism, or past trauma. It's essential to set boundaries and give yourself space to heal and grow. Your mental health is just as important as physical health. 🧠

2️⃣ Physical Stress: Skipping meals, poor gut health, lack of exercise, and imbalances in nutrition all strain the body. Even excessive exercise or underlying inflammation can push your body into a stress state. Don’t forget to nurture your body with proper care, nutrition, and rest. 🍎

3️⃣ Environmental Stress: The modern world surrounds us with constant triggers—technology overload, work pressure, financial difficulties, and noise pollution. These external factors can disrupt our peace and add unnecessary stress. Try to limit exposure to negative environments and create a sanctuary for yourself. 🌍

Try these tiny daily resets 👇
✴️ One mindful minute before checking your phone.
✴️ Step outside — notice the air, the sounds, the temperature.
✴️ A two-minute pause between tasks.
✴️ Drink water slowly, like it’s part of your reset.

Your nervous system doesn’t need perfection. It needs pauses. 🌱
