Gut health is at the core of what we do at The Wellness Emporium. From IBS and bloating to SIBO, IBD, dysbiosis, and the gut-brain connection, our naturopaths take a precision, testing-led approach to understanding exactly what’s happening in your digestive system — and building a targeted plan to address it.
We don’t guess. We investigate
A lot of people come to us after seeing other practitioners and walking away with a bag full of supplements and not much else. That’s not how we work.
At The Wellness Emporium, we only prescribe supplements where they are genuinely needed. Our focus is on investigation, education, and treating the cause — by establishing solid health foundations first. Herbal medicine and nutraceuticals are used as complementary tools to support your body’s natural healing capacity, not as the centrepiece of your treatment.
You’ll leave our consults with a clear understanding of your body, a plan that actually makes sense for your life, and the knowledge to maintain your results long-term.
Naturopathy is a holistic system of healthcare that blends traditional philosophies with modern, evidence-based medicine. Treatment plans at The Wellness Emporium are highly individualised and may draw from any combination of the following:
Functional testing is a key part of how we work — it allows us to move beyond guesswork and into precision.
Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) is one of the most commonly missed causes of chronic digestive symptoms — including bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, and constipation. It is diagnosed via a breath test and treated with a combination of herbal antimicrobials, dietary modification, and targeted support for the gut lining.
SIBO breath testing is available through The Wellness Emporium. If you’ve been struggling with persistent digestive symptoms and haven’t found answers, this may be the missing piece.
No two people are the same — and your care shouldn’t be either. We take the time to understand your full picture: your health history, your genetics, your lifestyle, your stress load, and your goals.
We know that gut health affects mental health. That hormones affect skin. That chronic stress affects everything. When it makes sense, your naturopath can work alongside our psychology team — giving you truly integrated support without the runaround.
Your initial naturopathy appointment is in-depth — your naturopath will take a thorough health history covering your current concerns, past medical history, diet, sleep, stress, and lifestyle. From there, we’ll build a plan that’s realistic and actually fits your life. Functional testing may be recommended to get a clearer clinical picture.
Come as you are. Some people find it helpful to jot down symptoms, questions, or health goals beforehand — but we’ll guide you through everything.
All in-person consultations are conducted at 2/19 James Street, Burleigh Heads QLD 4220. We welcome clients from across the Gold Coast — from Coolangatta and Tugun in the south through to Coomera and Hope Island in the north.

We investigate before we prescribe. Many clients come to us after walking away from other practitioners with a bag full of supplements and not much clarity. We prioritise understanding the root cause through thorough health histories and functional testing — and we only prescribe supplements where they are genuinely needed.
A naturopath takes a broader clinical view that includes herbal medicine, functional testing, lifestyle medicine, and nutritional support. A nutritionist focuses primarily on food and dietary intervention. At The Wellness Emporium, our naturopaths can incorporate clinical nutrition as part of a more comprehensive treatment plan.
